Music on Castro (Wednesdays)
Every Wednesday April through October, the city of Mountain View provides wonderful, free music on Castro street. Bring a picnic or grab some food to go at one of the many restaurants downtown. Bonus tip: Asian Box has kids eat free (with purchase of an adult meal) after Wednesday after 5 pm. Music starts at 5 (grab a box and go :).

Shoreline 4th of July Concert
If you want to attend the 4th of July concert at Shoreline, make sure you grab your tickets soon! They are free to MV residents but do “sell out.”

Discount Movies for the Summer (Buy tickets now)
We love the cheap summer movies at the local Cinemark theater. Tickets are $1.75 each and popcorn is discounted too. Buy tickets here.
Free YMCA Membership for Teens
Do you have a high school aged teen? They are eligible for a free membership at the YMCA this summer! More info here
Free Lunches
After swimming in the new pool (coming soon!), grab a free lunch a Rengstorff park (coming soonish). Lunches are for everyone!
Rengstorff Park – June 6- July 26 from 11:30 AM-12:45 PM. (No Meals June 19 & July 4)
Castro Elementary – June 6 – 28 from 11:30 AM -12:30 pm. (No meal pick on June 19). Meal pick up in front of Mistral Elementary School, 505 Escuela Ave
Gilroy Gardens, Great America, and Happy Hollow
Summer is a great time to visit these fun parks! Let us know if you want to join us and we can even go together! Note that the long-awaited jaguar and red panda habitat at Happy Hollow is now pushed back until mid-August.
