Music on Castro (Wednesdays)
Every Wednesday April through October, the city of Mountain View provides wonderful, free music on Castro street. Bring a picnic or grab some food to go at one of the many restaurants downtown. Bonus tip: Asian Box has kids eat free (with purchase of an adult meal) after Wednesday after 5 pm. Music starts at 5 (grab a box and go :).

American Armory and Ride Day (Saturday, May 25)
This is such a fun event and very much worth the drive. You can look at all the old tanks and even take a ride on an old half track (at least last year that was the case). Pro tip: pair the day with a tour to the Jelly Belly factory (or at least grab some candy:) — the two facilities are less than 5 minutes apart and owned by the same family.

Discount Movies for the Summer (Tickets available soon!)
We love the cheap summer movies at the local Cinemark theater (note: it looks like this year tickets are now $1.75 instead of $1.50, but still a great deal). Tickets are going to sale “soon” so check back here.

Can’t wait for the $1.50 Summer Movie Club? You can get greatly reduced tickets (half?) at the Mountain View AMC on Tuesdays. (Thanks, Maryam and Haleh).

Gilroy Gardens and Great America
If you haven’t been to Gilroy Gardens in a while, their “Fantastical Flowers” are pretty cool! Note that some levels of Great America passes will get in for free (although you may still have to pay for parking)

Speaking of Great America, the water park opens at Great America opens up on May 25th. Also, this month you can go to Great America on Fridays, not just weekends (and right after school on Fridays there are no lines!! πŸ™‚

Free Craft Classes at Michael’s (Sundays)
