Music on Castro (Wednesdays)
Every Wednesday April through October, the city of Mountain View provides wonderful, free music on Castro street. Bring a picnic or grab some food to go at one of the many restaurants downtown. Bonus tip: Asian Box has kids eat free (with purchase of an adult meal) after Wednesday after 5 pm. Music starts at 5 (grab a box and go :).

Earth and Arbor Day Celebration (April 20)
A free Earth and Arbor day party will happen on April 20th, 10 am – 2 pm at the Mountain View Community Center. Tree planting, live animal programs, live music, and more! Also, remember that each year you can request a free tree from the city (applications by August 1st).

Stay and Play (1st and 3rd Fridays)
For the younger crowd, this parent-child play program is truly amazing (and last time we went, only a few dollars per child) ! Offered through Trinity Church in Sunnyvale. More info is here. Also, new location in Santa Clara is available (Thanks, Sharon!)

Deer Hollow Farm Tours (April 6th and 17th)
Get ready for cute lambs and other baby farm animals! More info is here!

Great America Peanuts Celebration (Weekends, April 6th – 28th)
The Great America Peanuts celebration is coming back! Enjoy more rides, more Icees, and more fun! Side note: Wednesdays are discounted, and if you have a season pass you can bring a friend for $25.

Discount Movies on Tuesdays
Can’t wait for the $1.50 Summer Movie Club? You can get greatly reduced tickets (half?) at the Mountain View AMC on Tuesdays. (Thanks, Maryam and Haleh)

MVEF Gala (April 27th)
Food, dancing, drinks, auction and more — a really fun way to support the Mountain View Education Foundation (who provides art, music, gardening and more in the MV schools). Tickets here!

Free Craft Classes at Michael’s (Sundays)
We finally tried out a Make Break at Michael’s and it was a delight! This month they have a lot of fun free crafts: Check out all the options and sign up here
