Family Draw-Along With Shawn Harris (Thurs., Feb 24th)
This is a fun evening (6-7 pm) event where families can draw along with Caldecott Honoree Shawn Harris.

Fun Places to Take Kids
In addition to the local parks, beaches and our amazing library, there are so many fun places to take kids in the area and I thought I’d compile a list of some of our favorites!. Email me if any of these look interesting and you want to join us on a adventure this month!

• Happy Hollow
• Shoreline Park (kayaking, kite flying, cafe, pirate ship playground)

• Great America (Closed until the Spring)
• Gilroy Gardens (Closed until the Spring)
• Palo Alto Jr Museum and Zoo
• Monterey Bay Aquarium (A bit of a drive but worthwhile)
• Roaring Camp

Elephant Seals (everyday)
If you’ve never seen the elephant seals at Ano Nuevo, you are missing out! These creatures are incredible and they are visiting now!

Mothers Together Mountain View (Thursdays)
This is amazing free Christian mom’s group that I attend (virtually) in the evening.  They also have morning sessions (in-person and virtual). There is a speaker each week (I’ll be part of a discussion panel this month!), as well as prayer and fellowship!  If this sounds like something you’d like to check out, email me and I’ll get you connected (their Facebook page is a bit out of date).

Michaels Craft Kits for Kids (Saturdays)
Word is that you can grab free craft kits if you bring your kids with you to Michael’s on Saturday.  Thanks for the pro tip, Karin!

Stay N Play (Every 2nd and 4th Friday)
This was a favorite pre-pandemic!  Every other Friday Trinity Church of Sunnyvale (477 N. Mathilda Avenue) hosts a fun play session with toys, bouncy houses, etc.  The fun begins at 9.30am and lasts until 11:30 am (and the last half an hour is a circle time with educational songs).
