Narwhal and Jelly Author Talk (Monday, Feb 8th)
Do your kids like graphic novels? If so, this event is for you! The author of the popular Narwhal and Jelly series will be doing a talk (and giving a drawing lesson). 4-4:30pm
Currently it looks like some e-versions of these books are available through the library catalog (hard copies are already checked out).
However, Amazon also has a great deal right now where you can get the first three books and a poster for $12. Maybe hang up the poster and enjoy some P&J sandwiches and jello cups for a themed celebration!

Zoos Opening Soon
Oakland Zoo and Happy Hallow are now open to the general public, as well as Curiodyssey for members. They are all limiting the number of visitors, so make your reservations early. Also, the outdoor area of San Jose Discovery Museum is open. And the new (well, old but remodeled) Palo Alto Children’s Museum has flamingos you can watch from outside for free right now!
YMCA Classes
I’ve been a big fan and evangelist for the YMCA for several years now, and have been so pleased with how they’ve handled the pandemic — from providing childcare for essential workers to creating safe avenues for staying healthy in both mind and body.

Kindergarten Warmup (Fridays)
I just love the MV Library (Can you tell?!). They are having a weekly Zoom session on Friday mornings 10-10:30 am to get preschoolers ready for kindergarten. This month is all about Social Awareness.

Parenting with Love and Logic
A local church is hosting an online multiple week parenting class called Love and Logic. I went through the materials a few months ago, and enjoyed the class and thought the facilitator was excellent.
