Kindergarten Warmup (Fridays)
I just love the MV Library. They are having a weekly Zoom session on Friday mornings 10-10:30 am to get preschoolers ready for kindergarten. This month the focus is social/emotional skills!

September Parenting Book Club
NurtureShock: New Thinking About Children Book by Ashley Merryman and Po Bronson. (Thanks for this great recommendation, Phoebe!)
Next month (October): Homeschooling-themed book club this month! We happily decided to give homeschooling a try this year and are really enjoying it. Thus, that has been the focus of my parenting reading of late. We can discuss any homeschooling books you want, but below are a few to get us started:
- The Brave Learner: Finding Everyday Magic in Homeschool, Learning, and Life by Julie Bogart and Susan Wise Bauer
- The Call of the Wild and Free: Reclaiming Wonder in Your Child’s Education Hardcover by Ainsley Arment
- Dumbing Us Down by John Taylor Gatto
Hold and Grab Library Books
If you haven’t tried getting books from the MV Library, it is super easy, very well organized, and feels very safe. Note that the library has been closed on smoky days, so check their website before heading over if the air quality is questionable.
