First Friday Concerts Series (Friday, July 6th)

Enjoy a wonderful free concert the first Friday of the month April through September from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at the Mountain View Civic Center Plaza.  There are always games and a park area for the kiddos, and food trucks and nearby restaurants to grab dinner (or pack a picnic)!

Tuesday Sing a Summer Song Kids Concerts (Every Tuesday)
This is one of the highlights of my summer!  Bring a blanket and some great music with your little ones!  10:15 -11 am at Pioneer Park Stage

Thursday Kids Events at the Library (Every Thursday)
This is more geared for school aged kids, but still great for preschoolers too!  Sometimes they seem to meet outside in Pioneer Park and sometimes in the library itself (depending on the type of performance). Thursdays 2:30 – 3:15 pm

July Parenting Book Club (July, 20th)
This month we’ll be discussing The Boy Who Played with Fusion: Extreme Science, Extreme Parenting, and How to Make a Star  as well as How Children Succeed: Grit, Curiosity, and the Hidden Power of Character.  We’ll meet the 3rd Friday of every month at 8:30 pm at Olympus Cafe on Castro Street (note that we are now meeting the 3rd Friday instead of the 2nd Friday, by request).

Outdoor Movies in Mountain View Parks
Yet again Mountain View is offering free, outdoor movies in the parks.  If your kiddos are still awake at 8:30 pm, this seems amazing!

Library Story Times

The Mountain View Library has reopened the newly expanded improved children’s section (with a larger play area for the kids!).  This means that story times will be happening at the library again!  (Although the weekday story times will resume after the summer)

Every other Thursday in June and July, Mountain View hosts a party on Castro Street with music, kids activities, farmer’s markets, old cars, etc.

Thursday Night Live live music is held on Castro Street at Dana Street in Downtown Mountain View.

Chinese Storytime (Wednesdays)
For Chinese-speakers, the Zhaoyu Cultural Foundation in Mountain View has a great children’s library.  They offer a wonderful music-based storytime for babies and toddlers on Wednesdays at 11 am.  You do need to reserve a spot before the class and will need a library card (free) to do so.
