First Friday Concerts Series (Friday, June 1st)

Enjoy a wonderful free concert the first Friday of the month April through September from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at the Mountain View Civic Center Plaza. There are always games and a park area for the kiddos, and food trucks and nearby restaurants to grab dinner (or pack a picnic)! This month we’ll be listening to David Landon.
Summer Reading Kick-Off (Monday, June 4th)
Every year Mountain View Library kicks off its reading program with a family concert and some free cake. If you register your child for the summer reading program you can pick up your free book at the kick-off. Pack a picnic and enjoy some great music with the family! This year Andy Z will be performing in Pioneer Park 6:30 – 8 pm.

June Parenting Book Club (June, 15th)
This month we’ll be discussing The Boy Who Played with Fusion: Extreme Science, Extreme Parenting, and How to Make a Star. We’ll meet the 3rd Friday of every month at 8:30 pm at Olympus Cafe on Castro Street (note that we are now meeting the 3rd Friday instead of the 2nd Friday, by request).

Every other Thursday in June and July, Mountain View hosts a party on Castro Street with music, kids activities, farmer’s markets, old cars, etc.

Thursday Night Live live music is held on Castro Street at Dana Street in Downtown Mountain View.
Chinese Storytime (Wednesdays)
For Chinese-speakers, the Zhaoyu Cultural Foundation in Mountain View has a great children’s library. They offer a wonderful music-based storytime for babies and toddlers on Wednesdays at 11 am. You do need to reserve a spot before the class and will need a library card (free) to do so.
